SIS-SIS-KI

This game is definitely not a manila-origin.

Sis-sis-ki is a game of two groups, each member of the group has a counterpart in the other group. It can consist of any number of players so long as the groups have equal numbers.

The main objective of the game is to win over your opponent in the other group. And the group with the most number of wins is the champ.



MECHANICS

1. Form two groups with equal number of players.
2. The members of each group should line horizontally (side by side to his teammates) facing his counterpart in the other group.
3. When the referee signals the game, each gamer should aim to touch the heel (any heel--left or right) of his oponent. Each player's move, however, is limited to only backward and forward (i.e., no sideward moves are allowed).
4. The team who's able to get (touch the heel from the other group) at least 3 persons from the other group, wins.
5. There could be a double or help move. If for example, you already won over your opponent, then you can help your teammates in defeating his counterpart (tag team hehe).
6. There are 3 rounds.

SKILLS (scale out of 5)

1. Strategy (5/5) - kelangan uli ng UP brain cells ito
2. Strong hands, palms, and arms (5/5) - you'll never know what those parts can do to help you
3. Diving ability (3/5) - parang swimming lang ito eh
4. Crawling ability (4/5) - yeh believe me kelangan ito!
5. Flexibility (3/5) - this might also help you in reaching for that heel

EXPERIENCE

The first time we played it, I thought the game was actually dull. It was until the next meeting when we played the game again that I learned to appreciate it. On that 2nd game, in fact, my opponent in the other team and I were both competitive so the three rounds ended up without anyone of us touching the other's heel. Actually, we were laughing the whole time since however hard we both tried to win over the other, still no one won. Ansayang laugh trip lang! And as expected, after the game, our palms were soiled and dirty. But it's worth it, anyway!



RECOMMENDATION

• Instead of touching the heel with hands, use elbows for more exciting effect.
• Tie the feet of every gamer so that the movements of the feet are more limited. Hahaha I think this is a good idea actually.
